The Aloaha Secure Stick consists of a smart card reader, the new Aloaha Crypto Card, the Aloaha Credential Provider, the Aloaha Smartcard Connector and other helpful application software. Due to its modular design, the stick is very flexible. All three components (smart card, smart card reader, included software) can be replaced by already existing hard- or software. Also they can be bought separately at Aloaha Software.

USB-stick with integrated smart card technology
The smart card reader with SIM format has an integrated uSD Card slot for storage of up to 32 GB capacity. Data stored on the stick is encrypted safely by the smart card. To have access to the data, you only have to plug your Aloaha Secure Stick in any USB port. Once the smart card pin was entered, the encrypted drive will be mounted.
Thus the smart card middleware is already pre-installed, the Aloaha Secure Stick offers automatically cryptographic functions via MS cryptographic service provider (CSP) and PKCS#11. Therefore you can sign documents, use authentication processes for web pages and computers or you can encrypt and decrypt documents and emails.
Aloaha Crypto Card
By default, the SIM card reader contains the Aloaha Crypto Card. Of course you can replace the Aloaha Crypto Card by any other common signature card such as D-Trust, Telesec, TC-TrustCenter, eGK, HBA, etc.Aloaha Crypto Card features:
- 3 independent key pairs and 1 hidden key
- 3 certificate container and 1 hidden certificate
- Storage capacity for 63 passwords for the Aloaha Credential Provider
- Password-Safe (web pages, bank PIN, TAN)
- Smart card PIN can be deactivated to turn card into a simple 1-factor-authentication token
Uses Cases
The Aloaha Secure Stick can be used to host a virtual machine so you always have your personal machine in our pocket - obviously encrypted with the smart card.It is also possible to make the stick bootable. For example you place WindowsPE on it to boot and then with the Portable Virtual BOX you start you encrypted virtual machine.
