Is it possible to disable the usage of the Reader PIN Pad?

Yes, just set UsePINPAD in your readerINI.ini to 0

Does my machine needs to be a member of a domain in order to logon via Smart Card to Windows?

No, in case your machine is not member of a domain or your smart card certificates are not issued by your domain CA you can use the the Aloaha Credential Provider to do a smart card based windows logon.

I do not own a smartcard yet. What possibilities do I have?

We do offer cheap cards as well. Just have a look at the Aloaha Crypto Card. As an alternative to a smart card you could also use your mobile phone as a smart card replacement. For details just have a look at the Aloaha Mobile Card Connector.

How do I make my Mobile visible as Cardreader to Aloaha?

You need to edit your ReaderINI.ini in your installation folder. Please add the following section:

[VMS]
UseMobile=1

In case your mobile has a fixed IP please add the line:

ForceMobile=IP

For example:

ForceMobile=169.254.2.1


Please note that you need to run the Aloaha Mobile Cardconnector on your Mobile/embedded device.
