I am not always happy with the quality if I create a PDF directly from the contents of the Clipboard. Is there something I need to consider to get better richtext2pdf results?
I assume that you use the portable PDF Reader. That reader contains a stripped down version of the rtf2pdf engine. The quality is not always perfect then. But we need to do that to keep the footprint small.
You get better results if you install the Aloaha PDF Suite (even the freeware Version). It contains a better rtf2pdf engine and the portable PDF Viewer will use that when the PDF Suite is installed.
Although we really tried hard, there are always questions left open. But perhaps somebody else had already put the same question? Please check!

How can I convert an image file (bmp, jpg, tiff, png, wmf, emf, etc) to PDF?
There are several ways. With the Aloaha PDF Viewer you can open bmp, jpg, png, wmf, emf, tif and fax documents directly. The Reader will convert the files to PDF and open them.
Another way is to open an existing PDF and choose "Edit" -> "Insert Document". You can insert any of the above formats since Aloaha will automatically convert them to PDF while inserting into the PDF.
